I put up a Christmas light show each year of over 50,000 lights and the past few years the squirrels have been terrible at chewing my lights. These heat shrink butt connectors are great for quick fixes when I cannot solder the wires back together, or it is a tight fit. I have only used the 16-22 awg connectors and I was very surprised at how much the tube shrinks. Since my lights are 18 awg wires the tubes look gigantic for the size of my wire, but after applying the heat gun they shrank right up for a water tight seal.I could not ask for more. Hopefully I will not have to buy these again for a long time, but if I do I would consider these again.
