These worked well for my needs. I hooked up some outdoor security cameras where i need to cut the lines shorter. I put them together and then shrunk wrapped them all together in a bundle. Couldn't find anything like this at my hardware store. Where the actual wires meet and touch each other. Made for a better connection.Very easy to use and the end result is clean and effective. I'm very happy with the purchase. I wish these were available years ago.These are incredible for splicing automotive wiring. Just slide over a wire twist together. Slide over the exposed copper and heat. Done. Perfect soldered and heat shrink. Forget using the old crimp style. These are a big time saver! Just try them!Seems like they could have had a little more solder in them..but work fineWas trying to solder, foolishly, 12g wire with a small iron and failing miserably. These made the connections without any drama. So much easier than cutting separate shrink tube and so much better than typical automotive butt ends. Also really rather use a small torch under my dash than worry about burning holes in my car interior with a soldering iron.I can't really speak to the water tightness or the quality of the electrical transmission but they're tight and solidly connected. I used them for the first time and they worked great. I used a torch type lighter and everything melted perfectly, including solder. The key is to let everything cool down and harden, and be careful not to over heat them. So A++ on quality and delivery speed.Not quite as simple and quick as you may assume, they require a prolonged period of heating. The solder doesn’t fully penetrate the wires like the traditional Method. Definitely recommend using them in tight areas/inside the vehicle.used in the electronic field for service calls on ag GPS equipment . Would purchase againUsed these wiring my new bike , very convenient and worked as expected, just have to be careful with the heat gun and have good clean connections.
