All of these sizes have the same size spring, which only fits tightly onto two wire ends. None of these work for single-wire termination.I would have expected an assortment pack to contain at least a few single-wire nuts.I was installing a switch with an extra optional wire, and had to bend the end over itself to get the nut to stay on. That is not the proper way to cap off wires.This is a great assortment of wire nuts. I like that there are roughly twice as many of the orange ones as these are the primary ones I used when building a multi-socket lamp assembly.
