I used these lever connectors for each of all 5 pairs of wires to connect a new receiver unit to my ceiling fan after a thunder storm damaged the original receiver. The wires for that are fairly thin, and even with a stepped wire stripper, I found it hard to tell just what size the wires were. I just know they were thin enough that when I put them in and closed the lever, they would pull loose easily. These were multi-strand wires for 3 of the 5. For those, I 1) stripped twice as long, 2)lightly twisted the strands, 3)bent and doubled the thickness, 4)lightly twisted the doubled wires (and checked for strands sticking out). Worked like a charm and the wires held fast when pulled. Today, I have a fan/light that works...which didn't work yesterday until fixed. I did this while on a ladder, and these lever connectors made it much easier to handle. My hardest job was stripping the wires. The two single strand ac wires had previously used 2-port push-in connectors (which I cut off). I decided to use these lever connectors instead, so that if I have to replace that receiver again later, I won't need to cut off connectors...just flip 5 levers and remove the unit. THAT IS WAY SLICK, FOLKS!While I soldered my car receiver harness, but there are a few wires I prefer to have more flexibility like remote turn on to amplifiers, speaker wires, backup camera, these connectors are perfect in case I need to replace them. I used these for speaker wires too,l. As you can see the connectivity has 0 resistance. These connectors held the wires securely and super strong if you get wire ferrules for small gauge like head unit harness. These can be connected to each others for better organization. It's super easy to use making the installation less frustrating.Seriously - this is SO much better than stupid screw nuts. Easier to work with, safer. It costs more, but for a few pennies extra well worth it.Good for low power up to moderate power projects. A great alternative to breadboarding alone. Stick some in your parts inventory for those special circumstances.I wanted to add new stereo control unit to my vehicle and needed a reliable wire coupler to add a wiring harness with over 25 wires to connect. This connect worked flawlessly and was very strong—wires did not slip from connector. An added benefit was that each connector could be hooked to the other with perfectly molded dove-tail slides. The dovetails allow for block categorizing specific wires designed to stay together. Super great product—where we’re these 20 years ago:)!Worked as expected. Wasn't a huge fan of how they clipped together, couldn't really get them completely flat. Overall, not bad.Was able to complete my project in haft the time.
