It's either they require something to compound the force, or the terminals themselves are quite annoying to crimp because the plastic gets mashed too and adds resistance to the crimping process.Took a second to get the hang of it, but then it worked pretty seamlessly.SatisfiedI bought this because i was tired of using the inexpensive crimpers that come with sets you get at auto parts stores. This is a pretty heavy duty crimper that ratches. You just need to pay attention to the way you insert the butt connector in, as it does matter. As little pressure as you need to crimp connections with this, you shouldn't have to worry about it breaking or wearing out for a long time. Good price for a good quality crimper.Needed to replace a number of grounding wires in my car that had dry rotted.This did the work in replacing all of them with the variety in the case. Dealer was charging over $1000 to replaced them all.The tool is well constructed, and while it does take a bit of tinkering to master, is not difficult to use. Itreliably produces the expected crimps with little effort. However, while the product description indicates that the collection of terminals includes spade connectors included as part of the package, I found none. This greatlyreduces the value of the package in my application. Others may not be inconvenienced.I've probably gut 2000 crimps done with this already works sweet. It doesn't like certain brand heatshrink butt connectors as much as the normal hard plastics but hey, gets it doneThe clamp works ok, but the wire connectors are garbage and won’t stay on the wire unless you clamp it using the small size.L'outil de sertissage est excellent pour le prix. Par contre, après plusieurs essais, tous les connecteurs ont sortie du fil lorsqu'on tire sur le fil. L'épaisseur de métal du connecteur est mince et offre peu de traction sur le fil. J'ai essayé des connecteurs du même type mais de deux autres manufacturier et ceux-ci ne se détachent pas lorsque l'on tire sur le fil (le métal est plus épais). Je recommande pas du tout le kit de connecteurs.Nicely produced tool. Works very well on all sizes other than #10 yellow when using #10 hard core copper wire. For this gage of wire the crimping is not sufficient to prevent slipping.Great set, used half of the fittings already and the crimps are pretty decentQuality product. Used it many times already while working with 12v wiring in my car and atv.Fonctionne bien.
