I really like these wire connectors. They are much more convenient than wire nuts, and can potentially be easier to use for certain installations where you are joining only two wires together. For more than two wires, wire nuts would still be the way to go. I tested the connectors using a piece of 14 gauge solid wire and a light gauge (20 or 22) stranded wire. The connector clamped very securely on both. There's no looseness of any sort. And, the clamping mechanism is in fairly deep so the insulation on the wire can be recessed deeply in the bore of the connector.
